I have a 336 30/30. Would there be a reason to have a 38/55 other than its cool? I dont deer hunt anymore i just like guns especially those split numbers exampkes 44-40,,38-55,,45-70,,32-20,,7-30 waters see what i mean they just sound cool and look even better. Ok got a 30/30 might deer hunt again but doubtful. I do think of coyote hunting with some of my guns. So 38/55 y/n

30-30 with 110 grain JHP is bad medicine for coyotes. It skins, guts and debones them all at the same time.

The companion ever gun I want for my 30-30 is a Rossi R92 in 357-magnum.

Always thought a 38-55 would be a lot of fun, but I just never found one for the right price at the right time.

You'd likely enjoy it.

Good choice on that Rossi R92. I have the R92 in 44Mag. and I believe nothing will get away if hit by a 44.
