Oh, someone playing the pipes on the other side of the lake (because his wife wouldn't let him play them in the house...) Brings back memories of my kiddom. Lovely it was (the pipes, not my kiddom - that was pretty average)

Not Scottish or Irish pipes, but an Italian bagpipe, poorly played. There are bagpipes around the world, even in Turkey. I have vinyl albums of French and Northumbrian pipes. There's even a second Scottish version, the"cold pipes", so-call because they are fed by an elbow bellows.
