Do You Believe in Karma?

I was gonna write a couple paragraphs about bad things happening to good people and bad people never paying any consequences. Basically, karma doesn't work because some of us are the whipping boys of whatever higher power there is in the universe; playthings to be tortured for their amusement.
Then this turned into a religious debate.


I'll leave just this:

Explain congress.
We have a group of people who never worked a day in their lives and never earned a penny. They lied, cheated, and stole to get into office. Each of them inexplicably increased their wealth to millions upon millions of dollars. They stay in office until they die, and every single one of them lives long past the life expectancy of us plebes.

Actually, that applies to more than congress. It applies to state, local, county; all government and bureaucracy.

career politicians are waaay far in the conversation, look at the celebrities, take a look at the everyday people.

I used to. Not so much anymore. I see too many bad things happen to good people, and effectively no bad things happening to very bad people.
