I was looking at Underwood's 255 gr. LFN hard cast which is rated at 1000 FPS.
Would this be a safe load for new Colt type SA and Ruger New Vaquero .45 revolvers?
Thought I had read where the original Colt loads were for a 250-255 gr. bullet at 900 FPS.
So this might be the limit for these revolvers?
It is not listed as a +P load.
I have a New Vaquero, Uberti 1873 lever rifle and a Taylor's Running Iron pistol I would on occasion be shooting these rounds through.
