Would bullet manufacturer have any interest in their bullets recovered from game with detailed information and even some pictures? I have 3 bullets that I and my family have been using for long time to hunt deer and hogs on my property and I've managed to recover some bullets while processing the game. I have 8 recovered bullets from Speer .223 Gold Dot 64gr fired from 20" AR rifle. 2 were recovered from deer and 6 from hogs. These are all from one production lot and I have velocity records from the same AR rifle. I also have 4 from Winchester .243 Super X 100 gr Power point and 5 from Winchester .308 Super X 150gr Power point. For each bullet I have initial muzzle velocity records, game shot, distance, rifle and some detail description of the event and some have pictures of entry wounds. I used to collect them just for my enjoyment and to show friends.
Would bullet maker have interest in recovered bullets?

your data would be considered done in an uncontrolled environment lacking pre test parameters. there isn't a scientist alive who would take someone elses data and put their name on it.
just speaking from a scientific perspective, especially when billions of dollars is in play.
most data like yours is collected from samples that THEY supply their subjects with, with rules and requirements for validation.
most gun co's have super computers running to analyze stuff like that, taking into consideration the gun...the weather....the air density....the bullet....the BATCH NUMBER it came from....the machine that made it......the worker who made it.....the list goes on.
so not to be rude, I must say, no. it sounds like great data for your use....sounds like it belongs in a dope book.

I've had some bullets looked at by bullet and powder manufacturers, but after initial high levels of interest they get real quiet. I know why, I've spoken to the designer of the round and he was very talkative up to a certain point. It appears I have evidence of a dirty little secret on a popular round. Web searches have found others have the same evidence but it always gets shouted down.
