Is there a concensus on the best spring combo for a gp 100 mod?
It seems the hammer 9lb and trigger 8lb is best, no?
That's what I see in reviews, just checking in here.
Thanks.

I meant the 10lb hammer and 8lb trigger return, sorry.
I assume the gp100 comes with a 12 lb hammer does anyone know the trigger return on the stock unit?

Factory springs are 14 for the hammer & 11-12 for the trigger.

For SD/HD I prefer 12# hammer/10# trigger for absolute 100% reliability , I`ve had no failures even with sr primers !!!!

I prefer smooth over lite , shoot a group SA with factory then the 9# hammer spring & compare , the difference is called Lock time !!!

Midlife, go to www.gunsprings.com (wolff) find the GP100 and shop away
The factory is 14lb. on the hammer and 12lb. on the trigger. The most popular with good ignition seems to be the 12lb. hammer and 10lb. trigger. Get the spring pack and see what you like. A lot of firing and a little polishing and buffing is a big help.
If this is your first or second or tenth time removing the trigger housing i'd suggest you get ahold of GP100man and pick up his popper. He has a stickey in the auction section.
Good luck. Eric

I have wolf 10lbs and 8lbs in mine with no primer problems, shooting single action though.

Mine runs just under 3lbs. using the 12lb. hammer and 10lb. trigger springs.
