Just a short note to let ya'all know that I'm leaving Honolulu tonight for my Fairbanks Alaska moose, caribou (and maybe griz) hunt. Wow time has flown! Little nervous even though I've been going every year for the past three years and will be nice to see my best friend and hunting partner and his family again, trade stories of questionable origins and elongate the truth   ! This year is a little special to me since it will be an all Ruger hunt. My bud will be shooting a 375 Ruger Alaskan and his 44 mag Redhawk Alaskan. I'll be toting my lefty stainless Hawkeye in 300wm and the 7.5" Blackhawk 45 colt with some pretty hot loads. Only deviation from the Ruger lineup will be my Mossberg Cruizer 12ga loaded up with 3" magnum sabots, alternating with 00 buck in a back scabbard/pack.
I really want to thank all of you for all your help with the 45 colt info. Will take a small part of each of you up there with me as well. after all you guys helped make it happen when my S&W 629 44mag decided to reconfigure itself. Once again THANKS, God bless and will post some pics when I git back.

Just got back. No moose but have come back after my 5th annual trip with a lot of good memories with my best friend, more experience, more respect but less fear for hunting in Alaska and about a pound of tussix (spelling?) on my boots. Pretty good for a chichako! Will post some picutres soon. PS: for those "alaskans" on the forum, got the proper way of pronouncing "Tanana" down pat! Gawd I love that place more and more each time I go...... :D
