Sounds like a winner to me. Congratulations.
If that’s an original tang peep the rifle was nearly free.
A neighbor was showing me his 92 in 32-20 last week. He said he might sell it if the price was right. Bluing mostly gone, butt stock broke, fore end wood is in bad shape, screws all messed up, several screws looked like they came from a hardware store. Without checking the bore or even working the action, I thought it would be a thousand dollars or more fix to bring it back to safe shooting condition. I said, I would think about it. I got the impression he figures he has a gun worth a lot more than it is.
My old times hunting buddy 'inherited' an 1892 in 25/20 from his Great Uncle. It was in really tough condition.
He took it to a gunsmith to see what 'restoration' would cost. The gunsmith simply said "It's better left as is for a decoration" and offered to trade a brand new Rem 700 for it. Rifle now decorates buddy's fireplace.

It's the same case as the 32-20 necked down to 25 caliber. I have never seen it in a revolver like the 32-20, likely due to cartridge setback.

Wow! That's a real nice one! Not only is it in great shape but it has a half (button) magazine in addition to the tang site. A pretty deluxe package.
I also have a inherited 1892 but in 32-20 and it looks like it was stored in a hollow tree for the past century.
I would be interested in the barrel length as well. It looks to be about 20 inches but the photo is at an angle.

The vast majority of them were working guns so their condition is usually pretty rough.
I have my Great Uncle's Win 92, also in 25-20 SN 912019 looks like 1902
It also has a Lyman peep, likely original to the gun. Lots of Blue loss..well used. He took a BUNCH of deer with it mainly so he could eat. He died at age 105 in 2015. he lived through the worst of times in America

Oh my poor shoulder! The recoil was brutal NOT! Just kiddin'. Very pleasant little cartridge. I used to own an older Marlin in 25-20. Really fun to shoot.

I have a buckeye that's missing the 32 h&r cylinder and I have a Marlin 1889 in 32-20.
What are club points? Can I use my Starbucks Stars? Or IHOP pan coins?
I remember shooting my Grandpa's .32 WCF '92 for the first time. The report and recoil were so mild, I wasn't sure the bullet had exited the barrel. Then I saw the hole in the fence post. Unfortunately, the bore was like most, craters of the moon. It wouldn't stabilize lead rounds very well.
