Win 125g 30-06 ammunition?

Hi there.

I would like to zero my rifle on 250 yards with the 125g ammunition from Win. How high should it hit at 100y and how high does it hit at 28 yards when the rifle shoots zero at 250?

I can get you pretty close with my ballistics program, but I need to know the muzzle velocity and how high the scope centerline is above the bore centerline.

As a side note, if you're looking to take long pokes with an '06, a heavier bullet will serve you well. A 125 grain bullet in .30 cal will shed velocity VERY quickly. A 150 or 165 will work better.

Without all the data needed- I made some assumptions- here is some approximate info

25yards- .5 to .75 inch high

100 yards- 2.5 to 3 inch high

250 yards- zero.

That is assuming 1.5" centerline scope mount and 125 grain Win ammo moving at 3140 from the muzzle BC OF .268.
