i found at my local shop a desantis insider holster on closeout. it says it fits the charter arms undercover 2", will this fit my ruger lcr? the shop won't let me open and try it, it is so cheap i may buy the 3 they have left if it will. i looked online and know it rides low but don't know if it will fit. for the price i can take the chance of moving the clip lower and make it ride higher. he only wants $5 a piece out the door, these have only charter undercover listed on the bag. number caba02zo, these are old stock as the newer insiders also list j frame with the charter in the description. that makes me wonder if this is just for the charter. the size looks the same, do ya'll know if a holster for a charter arms undercover will fit a ruger lcr?, thanks for any help

My LCR will NOT fit many holsters made for the J Frame Smiths.

The LCR trigger guard (front) is longer than the J Frames, Charter Arms, Taurus 85's and other J Frame clones.

For $5 I'd take the gamble. Lord knows I've "wasted" more than that on much longer shots. :lol:

For $5 buy it, take it home and see if it fits, if not put it in you next garage sale for $6.

i have a sof tuck for a j frame that the lcr fits but it is snug, will go see if they are still there and get them.

I've tried a few times and the LCR won't fit and kinda wasted money. But at $5 it is worth a shot.

Buy em! If they don't fit they will sell/trade in the classifieds here quick.

I know the 02 size fits both my Charter Undercoverette .32 and my S&W Model 36, but as for the LCR -- dunno.
