Owner’s manual says SBH Hunter. Gun looks like an early .45 Colt Bisley with fluted cylinder? That’s my guess

Just an early Bisley. They had fluted cylinders, made that way a year or 2. Then Ruger stopped fluting & added the roll mark. Not a flat top, & to offer my opinion without being ask, it's priced too high.

I didn’t understand his ad that it was rare and worth $1400. But I’ve never had one of these. I did know that it wasn’t what I consider “old” though. Thanks, guys.

Yep,, a New Model, and a Bisley. As noted above,, not a common version,, but still not worth the $1400 asking price.

I'd say the seller doesn't know a lot about Rugers.

appears to be a typical dgaf seller. same ones will slam their keyboard in your face even when politely asked for pertinent information for you to make an educated decision.

they won't send better pictures, always out of focus, poor lighting, or insistent on obscuring condition issues you're trying to see better. refuse to send serial numbers so pedigree and yom can be established or at least estimated, like they're holding nuclear weapon launch codes or you're some kind of boogeyman. usually accompanied by some astronomical false sense of value of whatever they're selling, as if they're doing everyone a favor at their offered asking price.

yah I know the type. and after just recently closing an awesome deal with the op, the exact opposite of how he does business.

I’m not a buyer; I just saw this on our local gun sales internet site. His title says “rare”. That word is way overused. All I knew was that the revolver was a NM and a Bisley frame. I have never owned a Bisley. And at that price I still won’t!

Actately, there is 1 fluted 44 bisley on GB as or this AM. A buy it now of $925. Yeah, shipping, taxes n such do add up, but not near enough to make 1400.

I have a Super with a fluted cylinder. I’d call it uncommon, but certainly not rare. I would probably sell mine for $1400, and it looks a helluva lot better than the one pictured. Remember, I said probably !
