For a little over a year ago I started a support group for widowed men at my church. On January 9th this year a man lost his wife. They had had just recently joined our church. I invited him to our monthly fellowship and he showed up this morning to join our group. Qualification for joining is a terrible price for admission, but he seemed to thouroughly enjoy out time together. And to top it off, we are planning to get the chuch van and make a trip for an anternoon trp t a nearby BBQ place, Bozo's at Mason Tennessee.

I don't mean to brag, but when an endeavor works out for good it just makes me feel good.

I have breakfast at least once a week with a couple of friends who have lost their wives. The group used to be larger but 2 of our other friends have died. I am the only one who is remarried and they both like my wife.
It's nice to have people who have a shared experience even if it's the loss of a spouse.
I also get together with some other friends who have lost children. It's not an enviable thing but we are able to help each other in our collective loss.

Bob Wright, I think it is great both that you started this group & that you are making sure it continues to be available. Serving God, helping others is where it's at.

You do a lot of good stuff for others that involves you spending time. In my book, that's kinda like donating a part of your life....God Bless You.
