If I read RENE correctly, they value the gun at $495 and the box at $125. Still way under what this gun sold for.
Who knows ..... maybe it filled a hole in someone's collection, or because its a well respected seller with super nice pictures or a penny start auction with no reserve ..... ???

Pretty much a run-of-the-mill old model 357 our local Cabela’s has one serial number about 102,000 out the door for $400 no box though .

That's why you do your research thoroughly, then set the max price you will pay and if it goes higher it might hurt but let it go. You'll get over it - and probably find something better at a cheaper price.

:shock: I am never shocked anymore at "bidding " on firearms . I attended a firearms auction last sat. , Unreal prices :shock: . I was after a marlin 1894c , sold for 1050. :? But I saw several Remington 760s sell for over 3 thousand dollars each. I just don't get it :roll: Seller had to be happy !!

No, but they didn't make any Bisleys in .32 caliber to my knowledge. As mentioned above, that gun has had the Bisley parts retrofitted to what was almost certainly a Buckeye. Interesting "conversion", actually.

Funny I just bought a very similar gun about 15 miles form this seller. Mine had both cyl. Maybe came out of same collection. As the shop has about 200 guns on consignment. Many have had bisley grip frames added. There are also a bunch of 32h&r models. I actually bought 3 bisley models. My buckeye was half price of this one with the extra cylinderBlazenet said:

I look forward to finding the typical 'bid war', and I check to see how high the "winner" was forced beyond what's reasonable. Auctions are fun......... from afar :-)))

One thing I see all the time on various selling sites... a bunch of really sharp clear professional level photos will substantially increase your bid amounts. That guy had great pictures. No backgrounds to distract either.
