Whom do you find interesting?

Sometimes while watching TV or movies, I see some famous people that intrigue me. I think to myself "I think it would be pretty cool to spend a day hanging out with him/her." I do this with a disregard to their politics or my personal prejudices and really think about how interesting that person might be.

Here are a few of mine:
Snoop Dogg - just strikes me as someone with an interesting story..and I'm definitely not a hip hop guy...

I got to hang out with Penn Gillette at the Rio on a VIP pass with my wife. It was awesome, he is a really good upright jazz bass player and incredible magic historian, he was telling us stories about Harry Houdini while he played jazz with a tattoo man on piano.
Doug Marcaida, my oldest daughter Cassi does Eskrima Phillipine Stick and edged weapons fighting kata as part of her multi discipline adventure. We have watched many of Doug's videos. He is one bad cat with karambit and swords and probably #2 lead pencils. He tears me up with the "It will Keeel" on the blade show

Robert Duvall,,, as once,, when I was talking with Joe Bowman,, he described how down to earth Robert is.

Sam Elliott, again, due to how a friend met him & his wife when he was working in Colorado. Said a lot of good things about how they were.

Tom Selleck, as I was duly impressed with the class he showed when Rosie "attacked" him on TV. Anybody with the class he showed has to be interesting.

David Bradshaw. (A member here.) While we enjoy a lot of internet conversations,, I feel a day or 3 with him & I'd learn so much more about handgunning.

Robbie Leatham, & Jerry Miculek. Both world class, top shooters,, both of whom I've had short visits with,, and wish we could spend a day or 3 together, discussing a lot of things,, & not just shooting. The times we have spent were quite rewarding & fun.

I do some medical chauffeuring for a lady I've known 35+ years. She lives in a new apartment building she says is for "poor old folks and me" (at 68, she's the "kid" in the building.) One of their tenants was a gentleman name Charles. He was 97, a WWII vet, and he'd grab his walker, go down to the lobby and visit with people much of the day. I learned a week or so ago that Charles had to have some kind of surgery on his leg, and they put him in a local rehab center, the first one to identify COVID-19 patients and staff in this area. 10 people died, and one of them was Charles.

There's a USMC flag hanging outside in his memory now. But as my lady said, it's a shame a guy could make it thru WWII in the Marines, come back and live such a nice long life, only to be taken out by a "bug." More priceless stories lost forever...

Although most on my list are gone, among the living:

Leave nothing unsaid to your living relatives. A time will come when you have lost the chance.

From the past I would love to talk to Lincoln, Ike, and especially Harry Truman.

The present....Clint Eastwood and Dick Cheney come to mind.

For a short while 1964-1965 I was a guard at universal studios. Met actors but didnt know them well enough to talk about. The most interesting people I met was at Lockheed aircraft factory where I worked as a guard from 1965 to 2,000.
The chief hired mostly retired leo`s and military. I knew old leo`s and military retiree`s from all over the country and about every type agency or branch of service. It was a huge department. A boring job with a lots of time to BS. Thousands of story's. Many interesting people. Also test pilots etc. Talked with Gary Powers etc. Many of the guys were world war two, Korea and Vietnam vets. Heard a thousand war story's. There was a huge turnover as many were old men when they hired in. All my closest friends were guys I worked with. Almost all are dead.
