What's an old NIB Ruger std worth??

I'm trying to help a family friend price some of her late husbands guns. Most I have a good idea what they are worth, but I'm unsure what this is worth.

It is a 4" blued Ruger Standard, serial number 137,XXX, new in the box with the original literature.

Any ideas as to the worth would be greatly appreciated!!!

If it's NIB,, all papers,, (and hopefully the brown shipper as well,) I'd put it in the $400-$450 price range.

Its a fairly common gun, but a definitely a "condition rarity"!

I pains me to say that, around here, they are fairly common and won't bring more than about $250.

I'm with Matt, same around here, the standard autos are "tops" (NIB) box & shipper....in the mid $250-275 range....LOWER if not boxed, $175 to $225

Around here they think they are gold! I usually pass on them locally unless I find a variation that's desirable.
