What to do on a 68* day in January

I can't remember the last time I rode in January. When the sun starts to get low it sure does get chilly fast! It's supposed to be 70* tomorrow! :)

It's an awesome place! Been there several times. I need to go back so I can spend more time in the visitors center. It has a lot of great exhibits. It was a very nice day!

I washed, waxed and cleaned my 4runner while wearing a t shirt. The sun was out with barely a breeze. It might rain tomorrow but when do you get this weather in January.

So tell me all about that Triumph.
You know I sold my Road King last year, and for whatever reason, a Bonneville interests me.

Mine is the Bonneville T120; the 120 stands for 1200 cc's. I wouldn't even look at the T100's. I really like it, but it's not for everyone. The biggest downside is the riding position; I like my feet further forward. The brake and shifter are tiny. Still, when I get on it I'm 21 years old again, every single time. The quality is amazing. It feels like a featherweight when riding it and moving it around the garage. It's not sport bike fast, but it sure beats about every big Harley. I'm 270 #'s and it stretches my arms.

I find myself wanting to get off it every hour or so, but that's not necessarily a bad thing.

The chain is a PITA compared to a belt. You have to take the mufflers off to clean, lube, and adjust the chain. Fortunately I only have to adjust it about every 1,000 miles no matter what Triumph says.

The only option I added to it was a genuine Triumph brand jiffy stand. They used to come standard but no more.

I still travel every year on my Street Glide, but that bike gets heavier all the time. When I want to get away for the day I only want to go on the Triumph. It's just so effortless to ride. Just getting it off the kickstand puts a smile on my face.

I took out the garbage in my shirtsleeves here in northern Minnesota a few days ago. With no wind 14 degrees felt almost warm.

50°F here in NE Ohio yesterday and minimal wind so I took the opportunity to sight in a .223 Ruger American Gen II Predator. Also zeroed a red dot on my Sig MCX Spear LT.
for the money I am totally impressed with the Ruger. I sighted it in initially with PMC Bronze and finished it off with Hornady Varmint Express. It was shooting cloverleafs at 100 yards.

The further irony...
The weather folks predicted no rain yesterday afternoon thru roughly a week.
I lit up the BBQ to cook some steaks, and by the time I was ready to cook, I was being drenched by rain.

I'm somewhat waterproof, but my Traeger grill is pretty fragile. I try to keep it covered and dry. Didn't work as I planned. But I sure did cook some fantastic albeit bargain priced petite sirloins.:)

I thought it a question, and not a statement, and my answer was: you must not have a motorcycle.

I rode all three of my motorcycles this week, then pickled two of them. One is a 1972 Norton 750 Commando Combat.
