What is your favorite Burger.

Well there is fast food burgers, McDonalds, Burglar King, Carls Jr, etc of those I prefer Carls,

Then there are what I consider better burgers that might come from Red Robin, Applebees, and others. But I recently ran into a place here called 5 Guys Burgers. That was never in Alaska so I wasn't familiar with it. But since I found it here (there must be 3 of them here) I've hit them more often than I normally do. No drive up window you have to go in. But man is it a good burger.

5 guys burgers are really good. Really only "fast food" burger I'll ever eat.

The Wheel Inn occupied a corner of Highways 65 and 50 for fifty years, until widening of the intersection took it out. Their featured burger was the "gooberburger," a hamburger served with peanut butter and mayonnaise. Don't knock it till you try it.

I have eaten WhataBurgers for 50+ years, and were my first choice, but something has not been right with them lately. I need to look around and find a good tasty burger.

There was a place in downtown LA that served prime rib burgers that they ground fresh daily. They moved and went cheap on the meat so it's back to In-N-Out. I'm waiting to try 5 Guys they are buildng one close by.

I forgot about What a Burger, they have one of those In Albuquerque, and I tried one the last time I was there. That is a good burger also.

There was this place I went to a couple of times in Naples, FL they had a menu with about 50 kinds of burgers. Could not do better than that. Can't think of the name right now.

As for non chain places, there was a hole in the wall called "Oliver's" in Southport NC back in the 70's. The health rating was just enough to stay open, during a busy lunch you got your burger the way he fixed it and payed for it during the next visit (if it was busy then)

A recent good burger place there would be "Eric's". I guess it would be better than Oliver's given it does have A health rating

Whataburger is pretty good. 5 Guys is good. A Blake's Lotaburger in New Mexico where you can get green chile on your burger is awesome. Not fast food but if you're ever in San Antonio, NM, get a green chile cheeseburger at the Owl Bar and Cafe. Best thing I ever ate.

The Charcoal Burger in Glenwood Springs, CO.

Been going in there every time I'm in the area since I moved to this
side of the mountain. Used to go in any time I was in Glenwood
(usually one a week) until I graduated from High School.

Everything fresh and made to order.

REALLY good double burger with chili-cheese!

5 Guys does make a great burger; though, I rarely eat burgers unless I cook them, which is only about once every 3 months or so.
We also have a "BurgerFi" that is really good (also great onion rings!)

In & Out Burger is about the best you get get in the west. Barring that I like Wendy's for junk food burgers.

A long time ago there was a burger restaurant in San Diego (Old Town) named Hamburguesa Restaurant and Cantina... I understand it's gone now, but they sure knew how to explore every avenue with a burger! Last time I was there was 1977 or so I guess, but it certainly left an impression!

I think the one you went to was actually in Chandler... I believe they're closed now due to (shock!) customers suffering heart attacks! (No lie!)

Living in San Diego I'd say "anywhere except in Tijuana" should be fine...we had a wonderful steak house here for years...called the Cotton Patch...they had a couple of small burger places in conjunction where they ground the ends from the steaks...places were called the Boll Weevil...they all closed down some years back..they were wonderful....still a Boll Weevil or two but not the same deal..only the name.

We got a local Foster Freeze soft ice cream place nearby..it's been there for over 50 years...they have a 50's atmosphere and the burgers are like days of old...best around...we take the hot rods, customs and classic cars and while no formal cruise...about any nice weekend day there will be a bunch of us having a burger and malt.

Near Phoenix is a little piece of heaven called the Heart attack Grill....here's a little video...we never go over without stopping in... By the way...would anyone like to take the little wimp reporter at the end of this clip and just beat the living crap out of him...he and the old woman "food reporter" need to go somewhere and get lost for a few years..rant over...back to the 4# burger.

Try Smashburger. I'm hooked! 1/3 pound which is perfect and served juicy. The BBQ bacon cheddar is my favorite.

This is a loaded question. It depends on if you want a quick meal along the road or you are in a town looking for a sit down meal. If it is a down the road type, I will choose Whataburger every time. To me In and out is gross, just like big macs are gross. If I am in a different kind of mood to sit down and enjoy a meal, there are tons of choices. Everytown has a go to burger heaven. In Dallas one of the best is Maple and Motor (look it up on yelp). Another is Rodeo Goat again look it up. Smash burger and 5 guys don't even compare to the aforementioned. Be warned though, I like a simple loaded burger, not all of this fancy cheese and fluff that some go for. Meat, good bun, lettuce, tomato, pickles, onion, cheese, jalapenos, and mustard. That is my idea of a great burger, oh and add bacon every once in a while. JMO.

I've always been partial to Jack in the box..

I love the "Double Ultimate Bacon Burger with Cheese"..

5 Guys also makes an okay burger as well here in Pocatello.. But they refuse to make the bacon the way I can eat it.. So I don't order from them most of the time..

They insist the bacon must be cremated to a cinder.. I have no teeth.. Can't eat it.. I want it cooked soft. They refuse and say they make it "their" way..

Ok. I'll go to Jack in the box then.. They do it the way I need it..

For fast food, I've yet to find a place as good as the Rocket in Pontiac, Mich. You're doing great if you can finish a Monster Burger there. The advertise that it takes 4 hand to handle a Monster. But I may be a bit nostalgic here, since I haven't been there since the early 70's. Once every 5 years of so, I wouldn't mind pulling into a White Castle, just for old times sake. And if I was in the mood, I'd also get an A&W burger as long as I also got a root beer in a frosted glass, not those plastic mugs. For sit down burgers, I'll try most any bar. They usually also have good burgers. Of course on this one YMMV.
