What is the difference in P94 and P94DC?

I just bought a P94 that has the DeCocker feature but only has P94 on the slide instead on P94DC. What is the difference in the two guns? BTW, best shooting gun I've had in a long time.

You probably have a "decocking safety" which is both a safety and a decocker. The DC designates that it is a decock only.(no safety)
Does your decock lever have a hole in it and it shows a red dot through the hole when in the fire position and yellow dot and an S when in the safe position? If it does you have the "decocking safety"

If the slide had DC on it the decock lever is spring loaded and pops back to fire mode. The DC units don't have any safety at all.

dwd - It does have the hole with a red and actually white instead of yellow dots.

roylt - I did find more info on the gun and feel better about having the safety feature with DeCocking.

I have a p94 with the safety. I have to flip the lever down since igrab the slide right there to rack the slide and chamber the first round.. If the lever is up (safety off) it kinda hurts your fingers when you have to pull back the slide while pinching the safety/decock lever... Or I'm just a whimp? Where do you grab the slide on the dco models?

You can actually pull on the levers. Just in front of the levers is where I grab the slide and pull.

Just like roylt, just in front of the levers on my P94 DC/Safety.

The DC is what law enforcement was sold when buying through the department. Its so the decock automatically goes back into the fire position, instead of having to place it out of the safe mode manually making it fire ready. My son in law used, mine now, the saftey/decock P944t for almost 2 years as a reserve officer. He had to make sure it was out of the safety mode before going on patrol.

I was thinking about seeing if my P944T would be able to be converted, but as a CCW gun I think I like the idea of it being in the safe mode should it just happen to fall out, or be taken out and get put into the wrong hands. It gives me time to run, should the person holding it not know how to take it out of safety.
