What happened to Top Shot?

All you TV guys/girls, what happened to Top Sot on history ch.?

Last year's All Star season was probably the last one.

I just never could get interested enough in the format/incessant commercial breaks/phoney drama to spend the time waiting to see them actually do anything.

it was doomed from the beginning.
those guys were not top shots.
i thought it was going to be showing champs competing in their own arenas.
not some soap opera crap.

Top Shot for me was the best shooting show ever to be put on tv. It ran it's course and hopefully another good shooting show will come along soon. There was some very cool photography. :D :D

Next season is 2015. Early spring? This season should be on video somewhere.

Well, American Guns, gone, Son's of Guns, gone & now Top Shot? Wild West Guns maybe is the last one? There were 2 others, I have forgotten about.One was another pawn stars clone &the other a gun dealer in NJ. Any others you know of?

I just got bored with Top Shot and quit watching a long time ago. Especially with Cody "something" doing his best imitation of Jeff Probst.

Correct a very good season.
Notice in the above picture NO muzzle flip/recoil until the bullet has cleared the barrel. We have discussed this several times.
Also notice all the blow by at the rear of the cylinder which is typical of a 45Colt :wink:

I too enjoyed the show Top Shot for the photography, and the challenges. Some of the challenges gave me ideas of how to challenge myself. But as noted above, the truly slo-mo video showing the bullet exiting before any muzzle flip was an eye opener. An excellent example of modern technology doing good stuff!

:arrow: Vikings ended with Ragnar killing King Horrick and the last scene showed Ragnar in his King outfit sitting on a rock pondering next season? There were scenes for next season. Vikings should return in March or April 2015.

Yeah, you never know when you'll be attacked while riding on a stagecoach. Better start practicing right now. Or the Indians might start raiding army supply wagons again.

Actually, I wasn't planning on attempting any of the more elaborate challenges,,, but the ones where they shoot through tubes, or successively smaller metal plates, or picking a target, a different firearm, and the distance, or shooting under a rail one handed, or,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,!
A ferris wheel type of prop, along with other things is a wee bit too much. BUT,,,,,,,,,,, in my mountainous area we do have zip lines. Now, if I have the chance,,, I'd love to try a few targets while moving down a zipline, or from a moving vehicle. (I used to do the moving stuff, with a M-60 & a Huey.) Add some challenges in using a SA handgun or whatever.

The show offered many odd or different challenges that could be used as ideas for modifying their challenge to something on my range.

I think I liked it most when they were using the Gatlings and cannons.
