I was asked a couple times "was I going to scope this gun?"...... YES!
I'm not sure which scope I want but I figure I got the hardest part out of the way... I finally got a .45Colt 'Hunter'

Lay away for a year, they don't lay away at all here. Darn lucky to get that one.
Congrats there knuckles. I know what you mean by smooth. The trigger is better than the one my 44 SBH I sold. I like it just they way it is. Throats on my Bisley were .451ish. Groups tightened up after reaming to .4525. Mine shoots 1.5 inch six round groups at 50 yds. 355gr WFN at 1200fps with a Weaver 2X scope.

That is about as practical a hunting revolver as has ever been made (at least for a single action).
Many, many years ago (late sixties or early seventies) I got my first Model 29 and did all of my deer hunting with the .44 Magnum (that was the best option at the time). I later added a Ruger Red Hawk (with the built in scope mounts). Those two handguns have done my hunting chores and did them well.
Your .45 Colt Ruger Hunter will certainly do everything my .44 Magnums will.

Early summer I bought the twin to it. You will love it. Reamed the throats as were off a little. I am getting some casing drag when firing reloads but seems to be related to the ammo . But haven't quite figured it out yet.
They are a awesome looking revolver. Congrats and enjoy.
