Does anyone think Ruger will manufacture higher capacity mags for the 10/22? Seems to me, that since they've stepped up their game with the 30 rounders for the mini and the SR....why not the .22??

Dunno. The ten-round rotary magazine was what made the 10/22 unique . . . a reliable, removable ten-round mag that didn't extend out the bottom of the stock, and the source of the "10" in the model designation.

Seems unlikely to me, as there are already a bunch of folks selling hi-caps for the little rifle, but with Ruger, NEVER SAY NEVER.

:)

Seeing how none of the aftermarkets can match the reliability of the factory 10,...I think so.

Regardless if there was a reliable aftermarket, I think consumers should demand that Ruger continue making advancements away from its inglorious past and stand up for their right to make high caps and our right to own them.

I'm really surprised they did not already have one developed when the SR-22 came out... really nice techno rifle and it begs for high capacity mags even more than the 10/22...

they could just farm them out to Butler Creek or somebody and have the Ruger Eagle put on them and charge 10 or 20 bucks more.

Tactical Innovations mags are about the standard for GOOD ones. I get the feeling it's more "I want _______ but don't want to pay"

I remember the old Ram-line high cap 10/22 magazines working alright, but have experience with other makes having a tendency to be "too heavy" when fully loaded which creates misfeed (that ole gravity again!!).
Adding extra weight to a magazine only increases the chances of malfunction...so not sure Ruger would ever do a high cap 10/22 magazine. They work fine they way they are.

Pro Mag offers a fifty round drum magazine. Model RUG-A14 Lifetime Guarantee. Dealer cost slightly more than $50............I have two; need to test them out. Mine came from Davidsons'. These have a nifty loading process and I expect great results. 8)
