A friend of mine sent me this picture and I was wondering what some people are thinking. It seems like ruining a nice pistol to me. It has to be used with some kind of suppressor or barrel extension. I am interested to see what everyone here thinks....

Now that's a first for me, 
I do have to admit they grow on you the more you look at them.
That would make a very compact package with a can however.

Set up for suppressed use with minimum OAL...I like the top one, the bottom one's color scheme doesn't do anything for me.
I'm with you and believe a total waste of a 22 bullet.........the zip guns we built with car antennaes back in the 1950s had longer barrels, and worked about as well and NOT a waste of time or money...........
If used with a suppressor in a tight area like indoors I could see the point. Otherwise to each his own.
Looks like the elusive Mark IV snubby.
Not for me- 4" is short enough and it still provides practical accuracy and range.

I have come to the conclusion, after many years of observation, that there is no modification that can be made to a gun or a car, no matter how stupid or insane-looking, that somebody, somewhere, didn't think was a good idea and/or would "look cool" and actually did it.

There are multiple places making 1-1/2 to 2" suppressor hosts. Along with matching claims of accuracy.
An answer in search of a question….

From the website...2.5" Basically the same barrel length as an LCP II. Looks like a hoot to shoot to me! And, given the abundance of take off uppers at dirt cheap prices...Why not?

This is the very first thing that came to my mind.
Shouldn't have any problem keeping the bullets sub-sonic. Sights are really close together.
Well, if they're available at a reasonable price they would allow ya to buy the gun first and then save up for the suppressor later.

Volquartsen was offering them for $35 or less. I haven't looked in a while.

Dan, I was referring to the guns in post #1.
Most I am aware start with a VQ take off and proceed as money allows.
