Just wondering what results folks are getting with the unaltered stock 10/22 Target models? Maybe at 100 yards?

What ammo produces the best consistency for yours?

What yardage is yours zeroed to?

How many shots before you clean the barrel?

Thanks.

I've got a target around here somewhere; at 50 yards with a 25 round magazine load I have a single finger nail sized hole dead on in the bulls eye.

"Stock" includes these:

1) bipod
2) tasco 6x24x44 scope
3) lightly breathed on trigger...a gift from a buddy
who replaced this one in his 10/22 with a real trigger. I'm not sure what he did to this one.

I'm no great marksman, but this Target 10/22 offers superior accuracy for my use.

I haven't really done any 100 yard paper target work with it yet.

Typically I use 40g Federal standard velocity lead or the CCI 37 g copper plated. Haven't had time to run a close-accuracy test.

Currently reconfiguring it into a short-range Steel Challenge platform.

go check out rimfirecentral.com

lots of info over there and i think you will really get more of an idea what to expect

I got mine when they first shipped years ago. It's always liked CCI Green Tag. Never bought it for a 100yd gun so I never bothered at that range. It's more than capable at 50 yes I got it for though. (quarters are easy) It's just got a Simmons 3-9x44 on it since I bought it. It gets cleaned when it needs it which is not after every session. I likes a dirty barrel rather than a squeaky clean one.
I did change it to a Fajen thumbhole sportier stock years back and did a trigger job. Other wise, it's one of the most-stock 10/22's I have.

My wife bought me one for Xmas when they first come out and I love it.

6x16x40 BSA,,,36 grain CCI HP,,cover 5 shots with a dime easy at 50 yds. ,, never shot at 100 yds. I've shot well over 200 squirrels with this gun. I use three different rifles over the season but this is my favorite.

i've had one since they first hit the market, and it is a tack-driver. (sorry, i don't have a pic of it!) i have a weaver T10, 10X, adj objective on it. it will put several different loads into sub-1/2 inch at 50 yards. the smallest i have shot is with an old brick of winchester super-X hollow points. i don't think i have ever shot a legitimate group at 100 yards, but i almost always finish up my shooting sessions by blasting shotgun hulls at 100 yds, and it will routinely pop them.

Turns out the 10/22T and another 10/22 dislike the Federal 36gr HP bulk. Both guns scatter the bullets and jam about 1 in 10 shots.

The hated 40gr solid Golden Bullet shoots very well in both guns and jams are rare.
