I have 8 boxes of new Remington 7mm-08, lots of brass, lots of 7mm bullets and dies.....I haven't had a 7mm-08 for 10 years,,,that ammo has just been sitting in my closet...calling to me....

Sooooo, I guess I may have to look at a used M77 in 7mm-08 that my gun dealer has....not that I need it...but that has nothing to do with the price of tea in China...

I know where there is a Remington 700 BDL, however, it's way more than I can afford.

I have a Ruger American Ranch Rifle in 223 and I like it so much I may look at this model in 7mm-08.

Seriously, I don't need anymore deer rifles..but if I did get rid of the ammo and reloading components I would probably regret it.

I just bought a Winchester model 70 ranger youth model in 7mm-08 for my daughter as her first hunting rifle. I could use all the stuff you have if you decide to sell it instead of cluttering up your safe with another darn deer rifle! :D

There are more 7mm-08's in my safe than any other caliber except 22 LR's! If I were to be looking for another rifle right now , Id be looking at the Weatherby Vanguards. Best deal out there right now in my opinion on what you get for the money...sorry Ruger...

7mm-08.... what a great round! I have owned several. Remington Model 7, Weatherby Vanguard, Ruger 77 Compact rifle, Ruger 1-A and a Kimber Montana.

All of those are gone for one reason or another. My only remaining 7mm-08 is a special order "heritage" Cooper Model 54. Sub-MOA accuracy with the proper loads. Will be the last rifle I use for deer hunting before I hang it up.

Buy a 7mm-08, develop a load it likes, and enjoy! :D

Great idea Hunter, I've never owned a Weatherby....BTW, have you ever hunted the Flint Hills between Wichita and the Missouri Line? That sure is some beautiful country....

My wife has a Ruger American Compact in 7-08. She is VERY happy with it. Very well balanced cartridge: low recoil, very controllable, just right for deer-size game. What's not to like?

I have a similar predicament. I'm sitting on two cases of .22 magnums. I bought cheap during the last scare. Wanted to make sure I had ammo for my single six. So my kids could shoot. Now that I have plenty of .22lr, I'm not sure what to do with the magnums.

I'm tempted by the Henry small game carbine with the skinner peep. But then I think a .22 mag pump to match my .22lr pump.

Then I think what the hell do I even need a .22 magnum Rifle for anyway?

I also have a .22mag barrel for my Contender, so it's not like I have nothing to shoot the ammo out of. Do you realize how long it will take to go through 2 cases of .22 mag from a single shot?

Whenever I'm at the range, I take time to scavenge brass. The biggest share by far is 9mm, a caliber I don't shoot and don't feel a real need for. But there's all that free brass piling up!

I bought part of a short run of WBY Vanguard "carbines" in 7mm08 several years back. It is a good caliber for this application(better than 20" .308 which I also have). While I'm not terribly enamored with the 7mm08, it has never failed me and the muzzle blast/recoil from the short barrel is manageable. I even had a heavy barrel set up on a good Mauser action as a reduced recoil option but have never fired it.
I am a true believer in the 7x57 and the 7mm08 is simply a modern rendition of that old warhorse.
