Joe Miller, the owner and guru of the #1 Site has passed at age 75 in Scotrun, PA.
He probably spent more time getting #1s to shoot REALLY well than anybody else in the last 10-12 years His encouragement and mentoring changed the expected #1 accuracy from MOA to well under. He's owned most of the accuracy and score records in our annual shoot from inception of the shoot.
I finally managed to outshoot/outscore him in .224 last year and out of all the things I've done in the realm of shooting over the last 50 years consider that one of my major milestones.
If you ever want to get the most out of your #1 or don't think it'll shoot into the .3s, average for 2 FIVE shot groups just go read the files section and Joe's scores/groups
He was a shooter, smith and tinker not a collector and we have all been enriched by knowing him.
