New to the forum so thought I would start by showing my 41 Mag BH which I just finished up. I got alot of good advice by reading these boards.

Didn't like the AL grip frame or plastic grips so replaced with SS grip frame along with Ruger laminated rosewood grips. Fitting the grip frame wasn't all that bad of a job and the laminated rosewood grips really improved the overall handling. The picture exaggerates the grip to frame mismatch because there really isn't any noticeable mismatch 'in person'.

One thing that was odd was that this BH came with steel ejector rod housing from the factory. I thought they were supposed to be AL as well?

One other thing...this is my first 41Mag and it quickly became my favorite handgun caliber. Accuate, relatively tame recoil yet packs a punch, really easy to reload...I would say this caliber is way underrated.

Very nice! I am awaiting parts to do the same thing as you except I have a 45 convertable. Glad to hear it was a relatively painless fit for the new frame. I also really like the grips you have. Again, very nice! Hope mine turns out as well as yours.

Very pretty, very classy!

I'm not a fan of plywood grips but even those particular ones look pretty nice!

That is a very nice looking gun! I did the same thing a couple years back to a 5.5'' Super Blachkawk--stainless grip frame. Also a stainless base pin looks good too with a gun like that. Nice looking grips, too!

Wow, a nice looking gun and I am also a Fan of the .41 mag. It is a great caliber for reloading, easy, and so much fun. And by the way WELCOME to the forum. :D

Thanks Everyone for warm welcome!

Nice to know there are others out there who enjoy the finer things of life...

Looks cool built like that, how did you come up with the laminated Rosewood grips? I have been looking long and hard for 2 pairs of those and unable to get any.

I obtained the laminated rosewood grips from Brownells.

Looks like I got one of the last pairs as they are showing 'out of stock' at this point.

Beautiful gun and in a great caliber...try 6.5 grains of 231 over any quality 210 gr LSWC for 1-2" gps at 25 yds....Both of mine will do it easily. Rod
