Washington Commanders

The Washington football team has a new name---the Commanders. Now they're looking for a mascot. I suggest a really large wooden mallet. Called a commander, such a mallet was used to pound together beams in a post-and-beam structure.

They could use an image of a Navy Commander, but then they would have to show two Navy ships crashing into each other during transgender sensitivity training being conducted on one of the ships. Today's Captain America is black. But then if another racial group protested they could make him rainbow. Oh wait, that's assigned to another group. Sigh, let's just name the teams 1, 2, 3, etc. Except then the numerologists will have to protest that we are showing prejudice against all of the other numbers.

Oh, and as to the Crowe movie, it is a pale imitation of a pretty darned good series of books. The Aubrey - Maturin books.
