Walleye

Good eatin' ones ! Your making me hungry. Ok, that doesn't take much. Crappie bite is on, on inland waters.

I want to catch some and try making Cheviche with Walleye meat

I am going down to Arkansas this week and fish at Lake Greeson which has a real good walleye population in it

Man, one of the only downsides to leaving WI for TX is missing the taste of fresh caught walleye. That and yellow perch are my two favorite fish to eat.

My family used to fish every May on a charter out of Port Clinton. I think his name was Capt. Ron.
Walleye are some of the best eating fish.

ED,
Those are GREAT Fer sure. As you know I grew up South of Port Clinton in the 50s. Lake Erie was a dead lake at that time. We could see the steel mills dumping waste in to the lake from 60 miles away. There were times when my Dad would take us to the lake just to watch the mills drop in their waste and light up the sky. I'm sure people just can't relate to that now. In fact the lake would catch on fire. Now it is ONE of the best Walleye fisheries in the country.
I caught Dories/Walleye 400 miles North of Montreal Canada in the early 70s while Pike fishing. What a great eating fish
