Food for thought .......

https://www.ted.com/talks/azim_khamisa_and_ples_felix_what_comes_after_tragedy_forgiveness?utm_campaign=ios-share&utm_medium=social&source=email&utm_source=email#t-15899

On one awful night in 1995, Ples Felix's 14-year-old grandson murdered Azim Khamisa's son in a gang initiation fueled by drugs, alcohol and a false sense of belonging.

What an incredible turn of events! Profoundly valuable lessons for all of us I believe.

Thanks for posting this, hittman. Food for thought indeed.

There is a man I'm acquainted with named Rob Smets..he is a many times world champion rodeo "bull fighter"..he's in the cowboy hall of fame...very tough guy....his Grandson was murdered and if there would have ever been a man I'd hate to have angry with me....Smets might just be that guy...but his story is one of forgiveness....you can read it on google...just look up Rob Smets and find the articles about his Grandson's murder...quite a story and quite a lesson from a very tough individual.

If someone murdered one of my children... while forgiveness is a wonderful Christian quality I would hate that person as much as I love my child. I fear my forgiveness would only come after I witnessed their execution.

I am in the same boat. I would want to pull the switch. Just to be sure.
