Never used my Veteran status to purchase ammo before so decided it's about time. I've been buying from several different companies for years with one of the big companies taking my top spot for last couple years. I read somewhere that they offer a Vet discount and I was ready to place order today so I called and signed up for it. It was for $10 off a $100+ order. So they emailed me a code and I got the 10% off and then I asked if it was the same discount every time I order. Guy said no just a one time deal. Something is better than nothing so did the deal for just over $300. But that's not going to work for me long time and I guess I'll have to move on.
I know some give Vet discounts every time and wondered who our Vets here like and use often for some deals? Yes, I'll likely start reloading in the not too distant future but till then, I could use a good suggestion on who to do business with. Thanks for any leads.

Call these folks (they've never not answered their phone when I call and even quickly fixed a mistake I made on an order I placed that hadn't shipped)
I couldn't find anything on their website about veteran discount.

Not always the cheapest, but they frequently have good deals and no tax outside TX and free shipping over $199 helps a lot.

Cheers
Tom

My LGS that I've patronized for over 20 years has a standing 10% discount for active, retired, and reserve military and LEO that's applied for ammo, accessories and some firearms. Even a separate well stocked counter for selected new handguns for military and leo that are often discounted more than 10%. In addition, he does not charge for the NICS check for us.

If you're near a military base, many will have a gun counter in the Exchange store, and you can avoid shipping, NICS fee, and sales tax for firearms, ammo, and accessories, including ones you order from AAFES. That said, you can't always beat what might be available outside the gate, but it's worth looking into.

Rover- thanks I'll give them a look.

Gunny- no exchanges or PX nearby my locale.
Thanks for leads guys

Last week I signed up with Basspro mil discount. They offer 5% off guns/ammo and 10% off most everything else they sell. A good deal there. Unfortunately the nearest Basspro to me in LI is across the sound in Ct. good for mail order but that adds cost. We are in Florida often so it will pay off down there. did buy and receive a new pair of Costa fishing glasses with my first 10% discount to replace a pair I damaged

@RC44Mag I saw a post about https://www.expertvoice.com/home somewhere else. You can upload a copy of your DD214 to become affiliated and get decent discounts on lots of things.

I have an affiliation for a lot of outdoor products through work and I have bought a few things from expertvoice. The latest was 4 stealth cellular trailcams for 60% off. I have not added the veteran affiliation yet, mostly because I never even thought about it, but I will be doing that today.

You can still order ammo and accessories from AAFES that they will ship to your home.

I only have access to one brand with my current affiliation, but 39% doesn't suck:

We have a Bass Pro in Brandon/(Tampa) and there’s another south of Fort Myers that I used to frequent when I lived down that way. The Brandon location is only 40 minutes to an hour north of me, depending on traffic. The last time I was there, 6 or 7 months ago they were well stocked with reloading supplies at “decent” prices.

Heading down there( east coast) in two weeks and will check out the Palm Bay BP about a 1/2 hr drive. Don't mind cause I could practically live at Bass Pro! Fishing, shooting and big gators! What's not to love
Have a stock of ammo down there now but will replenish and add. Thanks appreciate it.
