Very rare Remington?

Last week in the local rag was a Mohawk 660 .243 with a Manlicher stock. He wanted $750, which I though was a bit high, and I figured the stock was after market. I ran it by 24 campfire and someone said they were a special order for Germany BX's. According to Wikapedia there was only 142 made in 222, .243, and .308. I called him and several times a day and left messages for the last week. I got him today he sold it a couple of days ago. I need a drink, I would have liked to own that one.

great looking rifle, they put it back in production, of course it would not be as well made.
