Vaquero Single Six ?

Looking at a Vaquero style Single Six. It is a 5.5" barrel model and would end up costing me $490.00 in my hand. Appears to be a 2009 model. Have not encountered any of them locally and was wondering, is that too much for that model?

"Too much" is in the eye of the beholder when it comes to an item you want and finding hard to get in your configuration. I'm assuming you're talking .22 Single Six. You won't find any stock (factory) .32 Mag "Vaqueritos" (informal term) in 5.5--don't exist in the fixed sight. All of them are 4.62 (until I believe a recent-ish limited run .32 TALO/John Wayne 3.75 or so shorty.

Blue or Stainless? Used or New? Davidson's had a batch of Stainless Baby Vaqueros from in 5 1/2 and 6 1/2 about the timeframe of the one you're looking at. I picked up a pair of the 5 1/2's and put $1029 into the pair. If you are looking at a NIB Stainless $490 seems like a fair price. It's probably high for anything else. There's a NIB 6 1/2" Blue 22LR Vaquero on gb with a Buy It Now of $419. Davidson's has 2 Blue 5 1/2s and 1 Blue 6 1/2 for about the same price. Hope this helps.

Thanks. It looked a bit high for me. Actually the price from the FFl is OK but by the time I would pay my FFL for her 'troubles' and the State registration fee it would be nearly $500.00. I'll check into Davidsons.

If it is a blue one, they are available on GB for $400 most of the time. That is what I paid for my 5.5" blue. (I had a stainless some years back and sold it to a board member. I like the blue better as it is a little less butt heavy with the aluminum grip frame and I like that.

They have gone up a bit, to $411 with shipping to your dealer included. They will take a credit card at that price too with no bump up. This is where I bought mine:
