Vaquero reassembly help needed

I disassembled my Old Modle Vaquero to install a Super Blackhawk hammer. However when I reassemble the gun I can not get the cylinder latch to come up. I assume it it the function of the cylinder latch spring and plunger to push it up. I have studied the videos and exploded view drawing but can't figure out what I am doing wrong as rest of gun functions fine.

What is the trick on installing the cylinder latch?

The plunger has to be riding on the underside of the latch for it to 'pop' up. When you mate the frame and the gripframe you just have to make sure it is lined up properly. It is easy to get it off to the side a bit.

Put a litle grease on the spring/plunger. Get it lined up and the pawl spring/plunger lined up and when its together depress the cyl. latch and you will feel it spring back.
I always disassemble the hammer plunger/spring clean, relube and check hammer pivot pin hole.
Some of the cyl. latch sprig/plunger holes are off center and a little large. They like a little grease to keep thngs in place.
