Vaquero barrel swap.

I have seen the s&w barrel on a blackhawk frame. Has anyone tried to put a smith barrel with the sight (like a 686 barrel) on a vaquaro? Would the sight ramp be to high?

With the rounded contour of the Vaquero barrel and the rib on the Smith barrel I think it would look very "different" to say the least. Even when Smith barrels are installed on adjustable sighted Rugers, it takes some remedial welding on the front of the top strap to make the two contact points blend together.

That's what I was thinking. Guess I will have to try an octagon barrel.
