Vaquero 38/40 .40 S&W convertible value

Still trying to get some insurance values on some firearms.
Have a pair of these. One is unfired, the other has had a cylinder of 38/40 put through it. They are both LNIB and have all the boxes, paperwork, spent shell ect included. Google was very little help and Cabelas hasn't been the best at appraising some of the more oddball firearms that I have taken in. Any help would be appreciated.

I ran a search of completed auctions on Gunbroker. A single 38-40/.40 cal. convertible sold for $940 and a pair of fully engraved ones sold for $1,625. Both of those auctions were Dec. 2014. Hope this helps.

Glad to help! I have a pair that looks just like yours but mine are in 44-40, love 'em.

I am glad too. I tried to sell one on this forum a few years ago and no one would even make an offer. Now I am glad I kept it.

For some fun, I loaded some cartridges with black powder (substitute) and pretended in was 1873 again. Cool.

38/40 is close to 41 mag and 10 mm.
