I ordered an item straight from the manufacturer.
Everything usual, they charged for the item, they sent a tracking number and even sent me an e-mail when the order was delivered a full day ahead of schedule!
I received no package.
USPS was the shipper.
So I go to my post office and inquire as to where the package was. Checking their tracking they said it was delivered to my mailbox.
I asked them to humor me and tell me what the address was. The address they gave me was almost a mile from my mailbox.
I showed them my shipping information with my address on it, they were speechless. After looking further they produced a picture of the package, with my correct address on it. At that point all I got was a bewildered look and "we will investigate this further and contact you".
Finally after almost two weeks I went back a third time and asked for a copy of the picture/package which they did give me with a signed/stamped explanation "customer did not receive package, sent to wrong address".
I have been in contact with the company that shipped the order from the start.
It's a family owned business, two of my contacts were obviously the owners sons. If not they do have the same last name.
I was promised a replacement and appreciate it but it's yet to come.
I don't feel right disputing the credit card charge as I do have all the proof the company did everything appropriate.
At the moment, for $35.91 I have a signed copy of the picture of my package.
Thanks USPS
