I have a USFA 45 colt, brushed nickel finish 4/3/4 barrel with fire blued screws and brown checkered burlwood grips.LNIB all papers ,box ect.I am thinking of selling it and was wondering what the going price is now adays.I have fired it a few rounds but still looks new.It is one of the best fit and finish guns I have out of about six USFA models.I just do not care for the short barrel guns as my eyes are not so good anymore. Thanks for your input. olsherm

I don't know what the going rate is but have got to believe it's up a bit as it's a) no longer produced and b) USFA by many accounts, and their own increasingly sparse website/catalog (and zero refutation I've seen/heard) seems on the way out. Very sad for the industry, but I would think good for current owners in terms of values. In addition to (also increasingly sparse) listings of USFAs on Gunbroker 'n such, you might check in on http://www.trailcreektrade.com occasionally to see what they're selling for if/when they have them, which they might..

I got one nearly two years ago. Think it was one of the last few to ship and it was around $550-$600. If it were me, I'd hold on to it until we see what USFA is going to do. A friend spoke to Doug Donnelly last week and he assures that they are not going out of business but everything else points to a demise in the very near future. I don't know. You might want to just wait and see what happens. If USFA goes under or goes a completely different direction, they will escalate in value rapidly.
