"The entire graduating class (all 7 of them) of 2016 of the USC's art and design school has dropped out, protesting faculty and curriculum change....Students said they were uset that studio visits were replaced by classes focusing on teaching and criticism. They also lamented about the loss of guaranteed teaching assistant positions."

Sounds like the university has decided that art students need to actually learn about art, and demonstrate some reason why they should be hired to teach undergraduate classes. How tragic.

Ah... poor babies... I just hate to hear about people being disappointed when they find out in the real world they actually have to do something worthwhile for a paycheck. I still remember the guy that my idiot brother hired (over my head and utmost objection I might add) that had a bachelors degree in social work or applied basket weaving. After one particular... trying... day after he managed to lose eight round bales of hay off a trailer he was attempting to play one upmanship with me over his degree. He got mad and quit when I asked him if there was still time for him to get a refund from the school for non performance.

Was this the group that had to pose nude for one another as a model?

Nothing wrong with posing for an art class. I did it once, when the model failed to show up. No big deal for a Naturist.

NO Job and a Huge School Debt EVEN WITH a "degree"; Can't imagine there are many jobs out there for "Art and Design" school graduates.
My Ex-Brother-in-law got HIS BS degree in some specialty where there are ONLY SEVEN positions available in the WHOLE USA; ALL with the Federal Government and no one near retirement (some years ago). Thankfully he HAD joined the AF Reserves and went to active duty and eventually spent 20+ and retired as a Major in Ground Maintenance for MATS. One of his duty stations was Andrews AFB where they had AF-1. (they called it "The Congressional Airlines" and most important of all was clean carpets, a WELL STOCKED liquor cabinet and a galley full of Gourmet foods. Everything else was always perfect.)
