Unidentified Custom Blackhawk

Does anyone know who stamps a "G" on the bottom of the frame in front of the trigger guard as a maker's mark? The caliber designation etc. has been removed from the side of the frame and is just stamped Ruger also.

It's for sale, not mine so no pics. Says .44 special o the barrel. That G on the frame must be somebody's mark.

How does Gallagher mark his revolvers?

Is it a 3 Screw? Possibly an OM 357 converted to 44 Special.
