2)PBS' American Experience: Silicon Valley: It describes events from William Shockley's (Shockley and others invented the transistor in Dec '47 at Bell Labs) company to Fairchild Semiconductor and the many spinoffs. His new hand-picked team found him impossible to work with after he won the Nobel Prize. Eight guys left and started Fairchild's semiconductor business.
