I recommend a security box if you don't have one as a black bear zeroed right in on my Trophy cam and ripped it off the tree putting a hole in the motion sensor lens and breaking the mounting loops off the back. I sent it in for repairs and promptly bought a security box for when I get it back. It is amazing how much game I have got on camera in only a couple month period of time. Several Blacktail bucks, 4 black bears, turkeys, and much small game.

yeah my camera has a couple of holes in it....bears just don't like getting their pictures taken.....

Over the years I've repaired a lot of damage to cameras from bears and had two of them destroyed to the tune of $800.I use steel boxes now from camlockbox.com and that has cut out all that nonsense.I don't lock the boxes,just want to keep them out of the bears mouths.

The last week of our Spring bear season is when I found the track of that lion.This trail is the one where I shot my bear last year.Five whitetail bucks have been using this area heavily this Spring so it was inevitable that a lion would show up.

The lion came through headed South and came back through about 3 days later,headed North.After the season,I got this camera up.Hope to get a few more of him.I think it is a decent sized tom but need some more images to be sure.

The perspective of this picture makes the track look a little smaller than it was.It is actually 3 1/2" wide.

Yesterday was a good day.Several miles away,I got this one.This boar has been around a long time.I'm going to try to hunt him with the bow next season.

I need some more pictures of this one but I believe it is a 7 1/2 year old blonde sow who should have little cubs now.I only got this one shot so time will tell.

This is the boar again.The leaning cedar is one of his rub trees.He didn't rub this time.

Great pis Jim. I have a Bushnell Trophy trail cam and a very cheap Moultie. The Moultrie takes better pics, but the flash isn,t working now for night pics. I got it for $75.00, so cant see sending it in for repairs.
Do you have any problems with red ants? Last yera my Moultrie was full of them, and this year they invaded my Bushnell.
Good luck on that cat. He does look like a big one. Ditto on the bear.

I have heard about the ant problem but luckily haven't experienced it.I like the Bushnell a lot.Right now,camlockbox.com has the 8MP 2010 model on sale for $150.That is the one I'm using.I wish I could afford a bushel basket full of them.

I know where there are several of those rub trees and want to study them more and find out just what happens there.I'm still not sure if that is strictly a single,mature boar thing or if all the bears use them.I will find out.Inquiring minds want to know.

It is amazing how much day time activity I get in this area,especially with bears but also with other animals.

Great pics of the BIG animals. So, me thinks you need a BIGGER gun. :wink: The rimfire would be for shooting the ticks off their backs....
