Thumb safety scratch marks

I have a new SR1911 that I was lucky enough to buy a few months ago at a LGS's grand re-opening (new location). It is becoming my favorite range gun.

Has anybody else noticed a circular scratch on the frame from working the thumb safety? I didn't notice it until after a few range trips. It isn't that bad but does take away from the otherwise fine appearance of the Ruger. This is my first 1911 so it maybe it is common - but seems like a tolerance issue.

thanks

Purely aesthetic. Back side of the safety was not dressed properly or dressed at all. Happens on most mass produced 1911's.

I'd be more surprised to see a standard production 1911 (from any manufacturer) that didn't have a rub mark from the thumb safety.

That said, I just checked my own SR 1911, and it does indeed have a mark as well. I've had mine since June 2011 and just noticed that mark for the first time. Doesn't bother me in the least....
