I broke down and "bit the bullet" and added a 10mm to the stable, in particular the SR1911 Target in 10mm. I now have the full set; 9mm, 45ACP, 10mm.

The .45 is my nightstand gun, which is why I have the extended mag in it.

Nice looking set I wonder why the 45 has front slide serrations while the other two do not. I would think they all would have the same design since they are all the target models. I never noticed this just looking at them on says a page like Cabela's used guns but now that you have all 3 together it kind of sticks out. Congrats on the set.

The front slide serrations were added by me (rather my gunsmith). Once I've been able to put the 9 & 10 through their paces I will add the same to them. Allows for round check from below, rather than over the rear sight.

Good deal glad to know I thought I was missing something. The Custom shop models have them like that and I thought maybe they sent out some spare slide they didn't use there or something. Again nice collection and keeps us posted on how well you like or dislike the other 2. I have been thinking about the 9mm myself.

Handsome set. My nightstand gun is also a 1911 in .45 ACP. Something I’m confident I could handle if half asleep or in pitch black. I’ve never quite seen the reasoning for keeping a pocket pistol in a nightstand. I prefer my last resort to offer a potential knockdown.
