We bought out my wife's sisters half of the house on Cape Cod. We have tried twice before to get up to it a get it ready for summer. The first trip was cancelled after I acquire a urinary infection and was on anti-biotics for 10 day. Doc said no extended sitting. Figured we could make a couple weeks ago. Didn't happen, Slick my cat, got sick. Now he was on anti-biotics for 10 days. Got him cleared on Friday last. We are now AT the Cape!!!!! Left 2330 yesterday and arrive here 0630. Averaged 65 mph. Like driving the Autobahn. When you are traveling at 75 mph on cruise and the semis are passing you it makes for an interesting trip.

Glad to hear you finally made it to the Cape.
From the experience of many friends who own or have owned property on the Cape, find a good time to arrive and leave to minimize traffic woes.
Most of our friends are from the MA/NH area and travel time can vary between 1 and 3 hours, depending on traffic and where you are going.
Have fun down there! :-)

I've spent some time down the Cape, spring and fall are awesome, winter is nice too. Summer? Forget about it. Hope you get to enjoy it. Glad you finnaly made it.

We have been coming here for years. You quickly learn how to get around without using Rt 28 or 6A. In the summer you can't swing a cat without hitting a tourist.

Cape Cod.....that's east of the Mississippi, right !?
The very thought of going east of the Cheyenne river here in SD makes my 45 itchy...
And so it goes...

Love the Cape too bad it is in Mass. Use to spend summers there when I was a young
man. My first trip to "P" town was an eye opener. ps

Got lots of piddling little things fixed so we can actually go back and 'relax' the next trip. Found out that as a home owner, even not a resident, I can obtain a carry permit easier that I can here in Maryland. There the local Police do the issuing.
Just before leaving Linda was going to leave the spare keys so a friend can use the house in a couple weeks. She tried the duplicate keys she had made at the Walmart here in MD. She said to me that they didn't work. I checked them and found that the 'notches' were correct but they had used blanks with the 'slots' reversed. Heading down to have them correct their screw-up.

Don't know who you are, but the Cheyenne River runs mostly east to the Missouri. Don't want to go east of the Missouri makes sense. Are you really from South Dakota?

Isn't that north of the Red River?
Lots of places are north of the Red river. Of course most would look at a map if they didn't know. I guess out in rural Texas they don't teach that in school. You do have schools there?

I know who "Wil Terry" really is, and what he's done - and would strongly advise you take him at his word.
