got a call today in a quiet residential neighborhood on the northside of town, resident said this critter was up a tree in his backyard.. I was dubious, since we don't get a lot of these wandering about in town, but there is a huge national Forest about 20 miles south..
well, low and behold.. there he was, about 50 feet up a big pine..the resident's dog had scared him...
The Game and Fish Officer came by, and decided to let him come down on his own...well about an hour later he did, after a bunch of crows found him and pestered him too much... he was last seen heading for the golf course..hope the golfers let him play thru...
He looked like a young male, maybe 100 lbs..most likely run out of his home area by a bigger guy..
