True . . . but the NRA is after that one so I'll bet that becomes
more of an issue.

The one I like is the "media" person that tried to buy an AR-15 . . . . .
AND FAILED!

Following the Orlando terror attack, Chicago Sun-Times columnist Neil
Steinberg wanted to demonstrate how easy it is to obtain an AR-15 in
Illinois.

Steinberg's application for the weapon was rejected, however, after
a background check revealed his "admitted history of alcohol abuse,
and a charge for domestic battery involving his wife."
GOLLY GEE WHIZ Phred, it works!
Alcohol abuse and domestic violence . . . . FAIL!
THEN that dolt tries to claim it was because he is "media".

Some of those are heart warming. 8)

Here's another feel good story about a good guy with a gun that happened 2 days ago 10 miles from me in the town my oldest daughter lives in. This would not have ended well for the female store clerk! Stories like this only make the local news...

Sadly,,, the media HATES it when a "good guy with a gun" stops a potentially bad act by a bad guy. They want to ignore the facts, and refuse to give such stories the sensational press they award the thugs & terrorists they so admire.
Usually, only local news stations give a short blurb about a crime being stopped or reduced by an honest citizen with a firearm. It almost never gets into the mass media mainstream. It's only by the use of the internet, and good people spreading the news that we learn of such stuff.

And when ANYBODY working for the media,, commits a crime involving a firearm,,, it seems the local Federal LEO's fail to enforce the law. We've seen it when they've bought guns illegally, or in places where they were restricted or whatever, then used them as props for their slanted "news" programs. Yet we do not hear of them getting charged with the very crimes they supposedly want to enforce or expand.
