The Most Government Registered Guns in Every State

I clicked on that and only saw one of those internet news articles and no list. Is it hidden in there somewhere?
For PC use there is an arrow on the right of the big picture and little pictures under it. Can click on the arrow or each picture. For phone drag the picture to the left to get to each state.

Never would have found that. Interesting data. Must be an awful lot of DDs and AOWs in Wyoming, the totals presented are a smaller fraction of the claimed number of registered weapons.

Just Who,How,and Why, would someone register their firearms?

The article only counts NFA items. Full auto, etc. I've seen similar 'scary story' reports for years. Which is why I called it clickbait.

Registered? The sum of the "registered" NFA firearms does not equal the first listed number. Since most of the states do not have (legal) gun registration excepting Illinois, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Hawaii, New Jersey, etc. Where does these number come from? Out of some Socialist's with an agenda ass? North Carolina was listed with "registered" firearms. (222,166 total). As a FFL in NC, I know there is no "gun registration" in NC. The closest thing I can think of is the Un-Constitutional, "Permit to Purchase a Handgun" which existed from 1900-2023 (123 years). These permits were issued by the County Sheriffs with little retained accountability as to whom they were issued, not what firearms was bought. The sheriffs just took in those $5 bills and they usually disappeared into the Sheriffs "re-election" fund.

Wyoming has well over one gun per person on average, and last I checked on a gub'mint site, the highest per-capita ownership of NFA items. We also have the lowest number of homicides committed with firearms per capita most years. I live in the fifth largest city in the state, and have since 2000. Total of 2 murders by gun in that time. One was a Californian who killed a police lady's daughter, and the other was a Middle Eastern kid who along with some other juveniles stole a gun from a truck and killed a wonderful man in his bedroom while his wife looked on.

Yep it's the NFA guns and such that require a tax stamp.... has anyone ever realized that the $200 stamp has not changed since when it was first implemented back in the 30's? The reason is simple if they tried to raise it someone could call BS because the whole regulation is actually unconstitutional. A lawyer at my church was hired back in the 60's to apply and get some automatic weapons for Bob Jones University here in town..... there was a time when you could buy new fully automatic weapons with the tax stamp but Ronnie R. signed that one away and now they all have to be old and used.

But folks believe that all guns are registered because of TV shows like NCIS...

If any of the recent batch of gun control bills passes they all will be required to be registered and tracked unless 100million people decide to not comply.
