According to Duck Duck go: The longest confirmed sniper shot was made by Ukrainian sniper Viacheslav Kovalskyi, who killed a Russian soldier from a distance of 3,800 meters (approximately 2.36 miles) in November 2023. This record surpassed the previous one held by a Canadian sniper at 3,540 meters (about 2.19 miles) in 2017.

Which kind of surprises me that a Assassin on a high value target would go for such a long shot. I remember reading about a Sniper that did a long shot over a mile or more saying and I will paraphrase. 'yes, it took a lot of skill, combined with a lot of luck'.
