Well guys, I told you I would let you know how my job interview/search went: I did not get the job I interviewed for, but I still have my job hauling oversize loads. Long hours away from the kids! The current job isn't bad, it's the supervisor in charge. It's apparent this is his first supervisory job, because in the last 7 months we've lost8 good employees to his bullying tactics. He keeps the HR people buffaloed as to how he runs things. " don't ask questions, just do as your told!" -type of mentality. With the work slow down I hope that changes!

I agree, but the waiting is stressful. Just God's way of testing, testing. It gives meaning to "tried by fire". We are here for you.

I've been there too. an appliance company on Cape Cod. three siblings that think yelling and screaming is the answer. Mom and Dad should have punished them as kids decades ago. I finally left. They fired me and I said 'thank YOU'.
keep remembering, 'I'm doing this for my family,,,,and I'm the man here, not you".
a MAN has to do what he has to do for his family... a bad boss is something we all have to experience once in a while.
The things he's doing seem to indicate he's insecure....
If that doesn't work. a 200 yard head shot is my second idea. JUST KIDDING.....

Joe I feel your pain, hauld oversize for years a lot of down time waiting for permits and such, good luck to ya.

Joe, I hate bosses like that. Fortunately in my job the supervisor can only push so far. I.E. he can't ask us to disobey the federal aviation regulations or the manufactures manuals for repairing the aircraft. We have had a few who have tried but they didn't last long. The threat of a phone call to the Fed's safety hotline makes most back down very quickly.
