Miss Penny taught me long ago to not click on any buttons that I was not totally sure of as to what they did. This was when I could lock up a computer by just turning it on. I may have to try it. (But if I lock it up again,, I'm telling her it's your fault!)

Mike, You are already in the "Full Editor"mode. If you just use the "Quick Reply" box at the bottom of the page you will not see the smilies.

OK I now see the difference. I have always used the "post reply" or the "quote" buttons. Never noticed the difference till now. My day is complete; I learned something new.
